The Cookie Thief - Fresh Out of the Oven

After nearly a year of hard work Kirk's second all ages book "The Cookie Thief" has just come out of the oven(printer). Like his best smelling Dog Poop Initiative, this book has a fully illustrated metaphorical message that works as well in the board room as it does in the living room. The illustrations by artist Adam Koford are "way cool" and with him, Kirk was able to add lots of little surprises and extras that are sure to make the book something people will read again and again. This self published book is available for immediate purchase at MoreBetterBooks.com.

Mrs. Bridges Class

A Colorful and Fun Activity

When the story sketches were ready I needed some help choosing a color scheme. I asked my son Joshua's 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Bridges if she would help, she said yes. Here is what we did and you can too!!

I printed off black and white pictures with No TEXT and mixed them up. Mrs. Bridges asked every child to take a picture and color it in. When they were through coloring them in they tried to arrange the pictures in order as they guessed/imagined what the story might be about.

The next week I came in to see their work and then after placing the pictures in the right order I told them the whole story. It was great fun. Then we had cookies and milk (or should have).

See if your class can figure out the story line by organizing the pages in their correct order!

Mrs Bridges Class - 2nd Batch of Fun

Kirk recently visited Mrs. Bridges wonderful 2nd grade class to thank for their help with his new Cookie Thief Book. After reading again the story each cool kid received their own autographed copy. It was great fun and we took 2 pictures of the visit. But in one picture...something is missing. Can you find it?
